Recipe: Banana Nut Chocolate Smoothie

I have to admit, I’m not a huge fan of green smoothies. I haven’t found one yet that I really, really love! I’ve even tried a few that made me want to vomit. If the smoothie cannot hide the flavor of the greens in it, chances are — I won’t like it. I find that odd because while I absolutely love my spinach, kale, chard, and collards — there is something very off-putting about the taste of them in my smoothies.

So, I had to find something else I can drink every day that was still healthy and insanely delicious. This banana nut chocolate smoothie is it! I have one every single morning and I never get tired of it. Now, I do warn you — it is non-vegan as it contains some honey, and it also contains almonds (for those with a nut allergy) but if that doesn’t bother you – then you definitely need to give this smoothie a try. It’s delicious, healthy and can definitely satisfy any sugar cravings you may have.

 

Yields2 Servings

 1 cup Almond Milk
  cup All-Natural Almond Butter
 1 Ripe Banana (w/ brown Spots)
 2 tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
 1 tbsp Raw, Unpasteurized Honey
 1 tbsp Ground Flax Seeds
 1 tbsp Hemp Seeds
 1 tbsp Chia Seeds
 1 cup Ice
 1 cup Water

Mix all ingredients in a high powdered blender for 2 -3 minutes.
